Learning to drive yourself should enable you to...

Save enough money that you can buy your first car
Maybe enough to insure it as well
Use the money to fly off to somewhere hot and sunny
Have minimal professional lessons...if any
Keep control of your kids driver training

Please note that I'm not trying to put the DSA down or suggest that they have to fail a certain amount of practical driving tests to keep these figures, I'm just showing you that less than half the people who take their test FAIL!. Why is this? Ususally because they are not ready.

What the D.S.A say "in order to pass todays driving test the average person will need 45 hours of professional lessons and 22 hours of private practice..."

Lets do the maths...

The average lesson price is £20.00 per hour.
The practical and theory test fees are £93.00.
Hire of the car for the practical driving test £50.00
MINIMUM TOTAL COST £1043

You can get your first car for that!

Imagine driving your own car round to your mates house, or to work, or to college!

Dear Friend,

Thank you for visiting my website. In the next few minutes I'll show you how you can teach yourself to drive (with a little help from mum & dad!). You'll be truly amazed at how you can go from never sitting in the driving seat to driving a car around in just a few hours - all WITHOUT the need for large quantities of professional driving lessons.

I promise to be up-front and honest about the facts. And they are facts so I will NOT try to mislead you in any way.

What's more, and you'll be glad to know this is NOT a boring sales pitch full of useless information you get on other sites...

So lets not waste any more of your precious time...

...and in the interests of honesty here are some facts you need to know about LEARNING TO DRIVE...

You must be at least 17 years of age to drive in the U.K.
You must have a valid provisional licence and display "L" plates
The accompanying driver must be over 21 years of age
The accompanying driver must have held a full licence for 3 years
Any car you drive must be insured for you the DRIVER to drive it

...and here are some popular MYTHS we can put right...

There are NO plans to increase the age limit for learners to 18
You DO NOT have to pass your theory to begin lessons
You DO NOT have to take your practical test with a driving school

...and here's the biggest myth of them all...

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE PROFESSIONAL DRIVING LESSONS TO LEARN TO DRIVE

Within the next few minutes you could have in your hands all the information that a professional driving instructor will give you over the course of the 45 hours of driving lessons the DSA advise. That's the same 45 hours that will cost you over £1000! And it won't cost you anyway near that amount of money.

So if you're strapped for cash but really want to learn to drive, and pass your practical driving test, by visiting this website, you have found the answer

...so here's the Eureka moment!

All it takes to learn to drive is lots of practice and lots of patience.

Driving is a practical skill and therefore by it's very nature takes practice to get it right. So all you need to learn to drive is a car (small and cheap is best), a willing participant to guide you along from the front passenger seat, and some form of literature that tells you how you should be driving in order to pass the UK practical driving test.

And that is where I can help you...

But first let me tell you a short story.

2 years ago I was approached by the parents of one of my pupils who asked me how they could help with their daughter's (we'll call her Sarah) driving. Now Sarah's family were your average working class family who lived in an average 3 bedroom semi-detached house. Mum & Dad worked and Sarah was going to college. Money was tight and given the way the economy was going would probably get tighter. So I advised that to significantly reduce the cost of lessons Sarah's parents should do some private driving practice with her. So at the end of each driving lesson I sat down for 10 minutes with her parents and discussed Sarah's performance and progress. During the week or fortnight that followed each driving lesson they went out and practiced what I had written out for them. After a very small number of lessons (around 10) I had a number of explanations about many aspects of learning to drive and with a little extra work...

...The Parents Guide to Learning to Drive was born.

And what of Sarah?

Well, she passed first her practical driving test first time with only a few minor driving faults.

I estimate that she had around ten driving lessons with me but drove in excess of 50 hours with her parents. Like I said its all about practice. All you need to know is what to practice and how to do it.

There are many learning to drive guides out there that claim to be able to teach you to drive. However, hardly any of them are written by Driving Instructors, or written from a Driving Instructors point of view.

The Parents Guide to Learning to Drive is different. Why? Well I'll tell you.

Written by an experienced Driving Instructor
It is written for the teacher and pupil
Straight forward advice on whats required and how to teach it
Progress charts for each subject
Full guidance on the new Independent driving section of the test
Access to a blog that will advise of any DSA driving test changes

Personally I think you will be amazed how quickly you will be able to learn to drive.

Most people give up after a couple of driving lessons with Mum or Dad. This is because they try too much too early and it all goes wrong. Remember we said you need patience. You wouldn't expect to be able to play a musical instrument after just a few hours so don't expect to learn to drive like Mum or Dad with only a few hours driving. Take it step at a time, and start with the basics.

If you follow this guide from the start and learn to drive step by step, I am confident you'll love it.

...but before we go any further, in the interests of honesty i need to make this clear...

...this guide will not...

Guarantee that you'll pass your practical driving test
Turn you into an experienced driver
Give you the same level of instruction you will get from a professional

It is written from the point of view that the person sitting along side you coaching you, is an experienced driver themselves and therefore they will know the fundamentals of driving. This guide tries to use those skills and experience then fill in the gaps. And if there are elements you don't understand you can contact me and I'll help you out. However to be absolutely sure you're ready for the practical driving test always seek approval from a Professional Driving Instructor.
